What is Cloudkey?

Cloudkey helps video publishers secure, target and monetise their video content for their valued audiences. Cloudkey currently engineers and supports quality streaming Apps for hundreds of movie houses, video libraries and specialised content owners alike.

Do Apps Powered by Cloudkey cost me anything?

Apps Powered by Cloudkey are free to download and install. Access to some content is made available by payment of a once off access fee or by recurrent subscription.

How can I watch videos using the App?

nstall the App on your preferred viewing device, register and then log in – its that easy. You only need to register once. Follow the registration steps from the welcome email you receive from the publisher

Can I download videos?

Apps Powered by Cloudkey offer streaming only access. Videos are stored and delivered in encrypted format and can only be played by a registered user on a device where the App is installed.

What internet speed do I need?

For streaming video it is generally recommended that you have a minimum internet speed of 1 Mbps. (the more the better) If you are not sure of your speed we recommend you to go to www.speedtest.net.

How do I get my App?

Download the App from Apple App Store or Google Play, or use the links above. PC and MAC application versions are also available. Check the links above or your user dashboard when you register

Can I install my App on all my devices?

Cloudkey Apps can be installed on IOS 6.1+ devices and Android 4.1 + devices. Mac and PC apps are also available (check the desktop requirements from the install pack). You can install your App on up to 4 devices at any one time.

What do I do if I get a message saying "I have reached my device limit"

If you have reached your 4 device limit and need to install a new device then the App will prompt you to de-authorise one of your existing devices. You can de-authorise one device per month. To view and manage all of your devices and channels go to www.cloudkeytechnologies.com, login with the same user name and password you use with the App and your dashboard will appear immediately

How do I set up my log in?

Every time you get access to a Cloudkey Powered App you will get a Welcome email from the Publisher. Follow the link in the Welcome email to register – it takes less than a minute. You will only need to do this once. Once you are a registered user any new Channels made available to you will appear in your Apps automatically.

What if I forgot or need to change my password?

go to www.cloudkeytechnologies.com, click on the log in button in the top right hand corner of the home page and follow the password reset instructions.

What can I view my App on?

Cloudkey Apps can be installed on IOS 6.1+ devices and Android 4.1 + devices. Mac and PC apps are also available (check the desktop requirements from the install pack).

Can I watch videos available in my App over the web?

No. Apps Powered by Cloudkey are exclusively available via the App

What if I sell or no longer use a device – can I take my App off that device and use it on another?

Yes you can. To view and manage all of your devices and channels go to www.cloudkeytechnologies.com, login with the same user name and password you use with the App and your dashboard will appear immediately. If you are no longer using a device you can de-authorise it from your account there. Once you reach your device maximum you are able to change over 1 device per month.

Once I have purchased a video how many times can I watch it?

unless specifically stated by the Publisher there are no limitations to how many times you can watch a video from your Cloudkey powered app

I have a channel which is shown as “expired” – can I extend my period?

The App Publisher have the option of making a channel available for a limited period of time. If you wish to extend your viewing it may be possible to re-acquire or re-purchase the channel depending upon the channel setting selected by the Publisher.

Are there any limitations on the number of channels I can watch?

Your Cloudkey Video App can support viewing from any number of channels provided by the Publisher

I have an old Android device and can’t install the App – what do I do?

Unfortunately we are unable to support earlier versions to Android 4.1. We are currently working on possible solutions however it impossible to support over 100% of the 12,000 + Android devices currently available on the market

I have an old Apple device and cannot install the App - what do I do?

Apple are aggressively discontinuing support for earlier OS and legacy devices such as the Ipad 1. Sorry we have had to move with trend and build our Apps for the latest IOS devices
